The mission of the JAB Classic is to use the global language of basketball to combat hate, foster unity, and inspire positive change. By bringing together elite athletes from around the world, the JAB Classic creates a platform where competition, culture, and community intersect to challenge division and elevate humanity through sport.

About Our Founder/ceo

Jared Armstrong is a 29-year-old professional basketball player and a globally recognized social impact entrepreneur, investor, and driver for social change. Jared uses the universal language of basketball to build cross-cultural understanding, strengthen communities, and advance equity around the world.

Jared believes basketball is more than a game—it is a platform for leadership, education, and lifelong connection. During the off-season, he resides in Philadelphia, where he works alongside community leaders and organizations to address racial inequality, combat hate, and promote unity. Through his global platform, he founded JAB Camp, a high-caliber basketball and leadership program for youth ages 6–14 that has impacted more than 2,000 children, integrating elite training with curriculum in financial literacy, nutrition, academics, and character development.

He also launched JAB Courts, an initiative dedicated to renovating and restoring basketball courts in underserved communities. To date, five courts have been completed, with twelve additional renovations projected this year. Together, Jared’s initiatives reflect a singular mission: to use basketball as a catalyst for opportunity, diplomacy, and lasting global impact.
